Tony DeLuca spent 34 years in the Federal Government in several key positions.  His most recent position was that of Director of Small and Disadvantaged Business for the U.S. Air Force. A nationally recognized small business advocate who among his successes counts removing barriers to woman-owned businesses by introducing the “Rule of One,” crafting contract-friendly provisions for small business participation, and spearheading the Air Force Mentor-Protégé Program.

George Ashkar’s career evolved from applied telecommunications research at AT&T Bell Laboratories to executive management at BDM International, a government professional and technical services firm. Over the past several years, he has been working with companies of all sizes seeking to focus their corporate strategies and grow their federal government business.

Continuing its commitment to giving back to the profession, INSIGHT is now planning for future seminars based on attendees’ requests. “Most requests were for the business development process, cost management and selling to the Federal Government,” explains DeLuca, “so we will start with those topics in the future.”
